This example is #35 of only 43 Pace Cars were produced (plus 3 Pace Car coupes), to signify the number of entrants that competed in the inaugural Quaker State 400 on July 9th, 2011. The special edition Mustangs came with a number of unique features, including a special exterior package that comes with an all-white paint finish, an “Official Pace Car” badging, a pedestal spoiler, side scoops, a decklid panel, and NASCAR and Kentucky Speedway logos.
The five liter, 302 cubic inch “Coyote” V-8 produced 412 hp @ 6,500 rpm and 390 lb-ft of torque @ 4,250 rpm as rated by the factory, and is mated to a 6 speed manual transmission.
The Pace Car Mustang starts as a Mustang GT Premium, with options on this particular car including Equipment Group 401A Premier Trim with Color Accent Package, HID/Security Package, Reverse Sensing System and Security Package, Comfort Package, 19″ Painted Aluminum wheels and GT Convertible Accessory Package 6. The original MSRP was $43,420. The selling dealer states that the car is completely stock and everything works as it should.
The interior is finished in black leather interior is trimmed with a white center stripe and deviated stitching, and also features a large “Official Pace Car” plaque located on the center console.
