DreamCarXchange is pleased to offer this full little hatchback with a 6-speed manual transmission, a 2002 Toyota Celica GTS. It is finished in Liquid Silver over Black leather interior and is mostly stock other than a couple of cosmetic modifications and the stereo head unit. According to the CARFAX it was originally purchased in August 2002 in Connecticut. This is the second time the selling dealer is selling this car, as they previously sold it to the last owner in 2018. It currently shows 82,834 miles and is being sold with a clean CARFAX and clear New Jersey title.
The interior is finished in the optional front seat leather in Black and features an aftermarket Pioneer head unit.
Moving from the standard Celica to the GTS upgrades to the VVTL-i version of the 1.8 liter inline 4 cylinder engine that adjusts the valve lift (and duration) as well as valve timing. With this and its increased compression ratio, the result is an increase in the factory rated horsepower from 140 to 180, in addition to a small bump in torque. It is a relatively high-revving engine with a 7,800 RPM redline.
The car is mostly stock, with exterior modifications limited to the black painting and red trim on the optional 16″ wheels and red painted calipers.
The seller states that car very clean with the exception of the paint below the rear spoiler and some marks on the passenger side of the dashboard, as seen in two pictures at the end of the gallery. The clean CARFAX indicates services throughout its life, with notable recent services as follows:
- January 2020: Oil & Filter change, brake fluid flush
- March 2019: Front brake pads and thermostat replaced
- June 2018: Spark plugs replaced, Oil & Filter change, air filter replaced, etc.
- January 2018: Battery replaced, coolant flushed/changed, etc.
- September 2016: Clutch replaced, flywheel resurfaced, shocks/struts replaced, cabin filter replaced, etc.
The CARFAX can be downloaded from the Key Specifications table above and make sure you check out the 50+ pictures found in the “Pictures” tab above. The selling dealer is charging $0.00 for documentation or other fees. Good luck with your bidding!
