DreamCarXchange is pleased to share this 2007 Porsche Cayman S 6-speed. This first-generation Cayman S is finished in Midnight Blue Metallic and has Sand Beige standard leather. The CARFAX shows it was originally registered in New Jersey, where it spent its entire life. The previous owner of this Cayman enhanced the car with both performance and cosmetic modifications such as a Softronic ECU tune, a TopSpeed exhaust, B&M short shifter, Bilstein PSS9 adjustable suspension, LED rear lights. It currently shows 46k miles and is being sold with a clean New Jersey title.
The Caymans S was introduced in the 2006 model year to much acclaim and continued in 2007 with a 3.4 liter flat six cylinder engine mounted behind the passenger seats that generated 295 hp @ 6250 rpm and 251 lb-ft of torque @ 4400 rpms when new. The power is fed to the rear wheels via a 6-speed manual transmission.

The interior is finished in Sand Beige standard leather that includes two-stage heated seats. The selling dealer states it to be very clean with none of the typical wear on the HVAC/radio switches and minimal wear to the soft paint areas of the center console, which is common with Caymans, Boxsters and 911s of this vintage.
Options on this 987.1 include Heated front seats, Wheels caps with colored crests, Door entry guards stainless steel illuminated, Bi-Xenon headlamp package and Chrome exhaust pipe. The original MSRP was $63,670.
The previous owner added numerous performance modifications to enhance driving both on the street and HPDE events including a Softronic ECU tune, TopSpeed cat-back muffler with dual polished tips, B&M short shift, Bilstein PSS9 adjustable suspension, Mantis Sport sump kit, slotted brake rotors, GT3 brake ducts and a P/S cooler.
Cosmetic modifications include rear tail lights and front LED fog/driving with radiator screens, clear bra on front bumper cover/partial hood and fenders, clear turn signals, and LED interior lights. As shown in the start-up video above, there are two check light warnings in the instrument panel screen upon start-up of the car believed to be related to the installation of the LED fog/driving lights. The original fog lights/surrounds and amber turn signals are included with the car.
The previous owner experienced an engine failure at 43k miles, which he replaced in September 2019 with a used 987.1 Cayman S 3.4 liter engine purchased from a fellow PCA member whom recently completed a 3.8 liter swap. That 3.4 liter engine had 48k miles on it when it was installed in this car, so the current mileage on the engine is approximately 51k miles. The selling dealer states that the car drives extremely well with a noticeable increase in power and torque vs a stock 987.1 Cayman S. The car has significant maintenance history found on the CARFAX and invoices that include notable items such as:
– Jan 2021 @ 46k miles: Four wheel alignment
– Nov 2020: Installed four new tires
– May 2020 @ 44k miles: Change transmission gear oil
– Sept 2019 @ 43k miles: Replaced engine, new water pump, spark plugs, and recharge A/C Freon

Mounted on the stock 18″ Cayman S wheels are Continental ExtremeContact DWS tires sized 235/40/18 fronts and 265/40/18 rears were installed less than 1,000 miles ago in Nov 2020, with manufacturer date codes of 3320 through 3620.
