DreamCarXchange is pleased to offer this 1995 Porsche 968 Coupe for auction. This final year 968 is equipped with a 6-speed manual transmission and is finished in Guards Red paint with a Cashmere interior with Black front seats. According to CARFAX, the car has spent its entire life in Connecticut. This is a two-owner car with the most recent owner purchasing it in 2000 when it had 62k miles on it. This example now currently has 117k miles on it and was recently fully serviced with a new timing belt being installed less than a thousand miles ago. It is being sold with a clean New Jersey title.
The 968 was built from 1992-1995 and is the final evolution of Porsche’s front-engine 4-cylinder cars that began with the 924 in the 1970’s to the 944 in the 1980’s and early 90’s. Porsche stated that 80 percent of the car was new relative to the outgoing 944. According to the PCA 968 Registry, only 259 coupes were exported to the US and Canada in total for its final year in 1995, making this manual transmission coupe a relatively hard find.
The normally aspirated 3.0 liter inline four cylinder engine was rated at 236 hp @ 6200 rpm and 225 lb-ft of torque @ 4100 rpm from the factory. The VarioCam timing system was first introduced on the 968 and would later become a feature of the Type 993 air-cooled six-cylinder engine.
The Cashmere interior features Black leather front seats to match the dash and upper doors, and the original cashmere seats also come with the sale of the vehicle.
This example has a significant maintenance history available, including timing belt, water pump, spark plugs/wires/distributor cap/rotor, fluid service, fuel filter, air filter, hood struts and rear hatch struts replaced.
The car wears the factory 16-inch Cup style wheels wrapped in 205/55/16 front and 225/50/16 rear Hankook R-S2 tires showing 2016 manufacturing date codes all around.
The selling dealer states that the car is stock, other than the Sony headunit.
This 968 Coupe has a CARFAX that shows a minor accident in July 2017 can be downloaded from the Key Specifications table above and make sure you check out the additional pictures found in the “Pictures” tab above. The selling dealer is charging $0.00 for documentation or other fees.
The seller is open to trade-ins, so if you have a car that you would like to trade-in as part or all of your bid, click the “trade-in” button towards the top of the page to begin a private negotiation with the selling dealer regarding your trade-in vehicle and value. Good luck bidding!
