You are looking at an extremely clean 6-speed manual 1995 Porsche 968 Coupe finished in a beautiful Guards Red that presents extremely well for it’s age. This current owner, a longtime PCA member, collector, and race enthusiast, purchased this car 19 years ago at 62,375 miles and utilized it as a stock unmodified driver and it currently has 117,325 pampered miles. The factory 16-inch cup style wheels present very nicely and they are wrapped in 205/55-16 front and 225/50-16 rear Hankook R-S2 tires. The only modification is the seats (and floor mats), which were swapped out of a black leather 968 interior. The original cashmere seats are included, but the black seats give the cabin a nice contrast, especially with the steering wheel & black upper portion of the dash. The 968 drives very strong, handles great with no creaks or rattles, and stops on a dime. What really makes this car special is that there were only 365 968’s built for the last model year (1995), only 150 of which were coupes, and even fewer in Guards Red, as most were darker colors. This car has been religiously maintained with full and complete documentation on hand by PMR Motorsports in Califon, NJ, where the timing belt, water pump, spark plugs/wires/distributor cap/rotor, fluid service, fuel filter, air filter, hood struts and rear hatch struts were done. The 968 was powered by an updated version of the 944's naturally aspirated inline-4-cylinder engine, now displacing 3.0 L producing 236HP. The 968's engine was the second largest 4-cylinder ever offered in a production car during the time. The 968 was also the last Porsche sold with a four-cylinder engine (last model year 1995), along with being the last front-engine Porsche until the Cayenne in 2003. While lacking the wider ranging appeal of the 911, the 968 has nonetheless carved out its own niche in the hearts of enthusiast. This is likely due to the 968's unique combination of speed and practicality, and low production numbers and overall rarity.
