If you are looking for that special air-cooled turbo, look no further as DreamCarXchange is thrilled to offer this super-low mile paint-to-sample 930. This 1978 911 Turbo is finished in stunning Sienna Brown Metallic over Cork leather interior featuring Sport Seats. The odometer shows only 13,809 miles and with only 461 examples built for the US that year, this is truly a rare find. The selling dealer states that the car was bought by it’s most recent owner from the long-time original owner. It comes with the tool kit, books and spare tire and has a clean New Jersey title.
For 1978, Porsche updated the 911 Turbo (930) by boring and stroking the engine from 3.0 liters to 3.3 liters and was fitted with an intercooler. This resulted in the engine then being rated by Porsche at 265 hp at 5,500 RPM and 291 ft-lb of torque at 4,000 rpm, mated to a 4-speed manual transmission.
Also new for the 1978 model was the now familiar “Tea Tray” rear spoiler (to accommodate the intercooler), 917-style brake system featuring cross-drilled vented discs and 4 piston alloy calipers.
The interior of this Turbo is highlighted by its Cork Leather Sport Seats and a Blaupunkt cassette radio. The gauges feature a boost guage in the tachometer, while the odometer indicates the 13,809 miles on this example.
The stock Fuchs wheels are present on the car, wearing Dunlop Direzza ZII tires sized 205/55/16 fronts and 225/50/16 rears.
The engine and chassis has been photographed, and make sure you check out the additional 60+ pictures of the car as found in the “Pictures” tab above.
The selling dealer is charging $0.00 for documentation or other fees. Here is your opportunity for a unique air-cooled turbo coupe. Good luck bidding!
