Here’s a real treat for us… DreamCarXchange is thrilled to offer this freshly built Porsche 911 RSR backdate from the highly regarded “The RSR Project” in Bedford Hills, NY. This backdate started as a 1985 911 Carrera that was completed gone through, down to the bare metal. This example is finished in Burgundy with Stainless Steel finish stripes with a tan and black interior. It has just 379 miles since the build was complete. This Burgundy build has an engine that was bored out to a 3.4 liter, includes an RSR camshaft among other performance upgrades. It is being sold with a clean NJ title.
This example includes notable items such as a custom built 3.4L motor, RSR cams, a Steve Wong chip, performance headers and muffler with dual center tips. Further details on the motor include polished crank journals, weighed rods (within 1 gram), new wrist pin bushings and rod bearings, ARP rod bolts, new main bearings, head studs, etc.
The 915 transmission was rebuilt with all new syncros, gasket set, release bearing guide and o-ring, shaft nuts, synchro teeth, clips and a new second gear.
The suspension has been refreshed and powder coated, corner balanced and aligned. Period correct Michelin TB15 Vintage tires are mounted on 15×9 and 15×11 Braid FUCHS wheels.
The exterior look was completed with steel flares, a fiberglass long hood, fiberglass front and rear bumpers, new exterior trim pieces, new front and rear glass, gaskets and rubber seals and removable brushed aluminum vinyl graphics.
The interior features custom hardshell tan leather seats with corduroy inserts, a new Porsche Classic dash, custom mouse-hair dash and upper trim (to lessen glare), new headliner, a MOMO Prototipo steering wheel and RSR style gas pedal.
Make sure you check out the additional pictures found in the “Pictures” tab above to review the level of detail that has gone into this RSR build. The selling dealer is charging $0.00 for documentation or other fees. More information The RSR Project can be found at The RSR Project
