Sold for $32,000

Dream came true! Congratulations to Flat6 for becoming the new owner!

DreamCarXchange would like to offer up for auction this 2005 Porsche 911 Carrera S Coupe Coupe. It is finished in Arctic Silver Metallic over Special Leather Cocoa.  This is a two-owner car that was originally sold by Porsche Silver Spring in Silver Spring, Maryland and maintained by the first owner either at dealerships or Intersport Performance in McLean, VA.  The second owner purchased it in July 2015 at 36k miles and had it maintained at Powertech in Rockaway, NJ since and was obtained from this owner by the selling dealer in November 2019.  It has some minor cosmetic modifications including the OEM 19″ Sport Classic wheels and an updated headunit.  It has a clean Carfax, has a completed Bid with Confidence Inspection Report and is being sold with a clean New Jersey title.

The 2005 911 was the first year of the 2nd generation water-cooled 911’s known as the 997.  They had two two engine choices, the 3.6 liter and the 3.8 liter which came in the Carrera S.  The 3.8 liter Carrera S  engine was rated by Porsche at 355 hp @ 6,600 rpm and 295 lb-ft of torque @ 4,600 rpm.  In addition to the larger engine, the S models also included the larger disc brakes with red calipers, PASM (Porsche Active Suspension Management), standard 19″ wheels, twin round tailpipes among other features.

The interior of this example features Special Leather Cocoa.  Part of this package includes enhanced leather covering the center console, console bin cover etc.

This example was equipped from the factory with options including:  19″ Sport Design Wheel, Rear Window Wiper, Navigation for PCM, Bose High End Sound Package, Cocoa Floor Mats, Power Seat Package, Special Leather Cocoa, Arctic Silver Metallic and Sport Shifter.  The original MSRP was $91,095.

This 997 DreamCar has been modified with OEM 19″ Sport Classic Wheels (wrapped in 235 front, 305 rear General G-Max tires that were mounted in August 2019), Clear front turn signals, Red rear tail lights and a head unit that includes Navigation, Bluetooth and a back-up camera.

The selling dealer notes the car had the front and rear bumper covers resprayed previously however no panels have been painted according to visual inspection and a paint meter.  They also state that the car is in excellent running condition with some minor cosmetic items such as scuffs, wear on the seats, etc. as pointed out in some pictures in the gallery.  In addition, the seller notes that the glove box strut needs to be replaced (resulting in it opening further than designed).  The most notable items are the creases in the front bumper cover as pointed out below.

The car has an extensive maintenance history that is found on the CARFAX and via the maintenance invoices that comes with the car.  Most notable was from June 2018 at 51,974 miles that included an air/oil separator, replacement of all 6 ignition coils and spark plugs, along with an oil and filter change.  In August 2019 at 60,575 miles, the clutch was replaced along with the Rear Main Seal.  This was done by Powertech in Rockaway, NJ where they noted that it has the larger, non-serviceable IMS bearing that some 2005 model year and all 2006-2008 model years had.

A Bid with Confidence (BwC) Inspection Report was completed the week of November 11th 2019 by Powertech in Rockaway, NJ.  During the inspection, a data scan was completed indicating 623 ignitions in Range 1, 117 ignitions in Range 2 and 18 ignitions in Range 3.  No ignitions were recorded in Ranges 4-6.  The link to the BwC report can be found in the above table.

Congrats Flat6 – enjoy!!!

Beautiful car in a rare color combo. So much nicer than the ordinary silver/black. Those Sport Classics are around $4500 on Suncoast. This 2 owner car w/60k and these options is a steal.

Love the wheels & red tails!

Recently purchased from a customer of Powertech in Rockaway NJ, this one is really set apart from other 997’s with it’s Cocoa Special Leather and the highly sought after OEM 19” Sport Classic wheels. It drives very well, is well maintained (including a new clutch in Aug 2019).

Got something to discuss?
