DreamCarXchange is pleased to offer this 2000 Porsche 911 Carrera 4 Coupe. This 996 is finished in Arctic Silver and has Black full leather interior. It is well equipped with options such as the aformentioned full leather interior, stainless steel tailpipes, Aluminum gear lever, stainless side sills and Alcantara headliner. The engine was replaced at 72k miles with a rebuilt short block from Porsche (which includes the updated IMS bearing) in October 2016. It was just serviced prior to marketing the car with items such as new clutch, new brake rotors and pads all around, engine mounts, among other items totaling over $5,700. The clean CARFAX shows it was resided in Georgia and South Carolina prior to coming to New Jersey in 2016. It currently shows just over 85k miles and is being sold with service records from 2016 to present and a clean New Jersey title.
This well optioned example has a Black interior featuring full leather, supple leather front and rear, aluminum gear lever, 3-spoke steering wheel, 8-way power left and right seats, Hi-Fi Stereo with 6-disc changer (note: changer cartridge is missing), Alcantara headliner, and stainless door entry with logo. In addition, the car is equipped with some extra leather options such as leather covered ignition lock surround, leather speaker covers, and leather center air vent bracket and side air vents. Everything is said to function as intended.
The interior is further set apart with the aftermarket painted center console and Sony head unit with Bluetooth.
Like all 996.1’s, this example is equipped with the 3.4 liter flat six engine, rated by Porsche at 296 hp @ 6800 rpm and 258 lb-ft of torque @ 4600 rpm, with a redline of 7300 rpms. Being this is a Carrera 4, it drives all four wheels via a 6-speed manual transmission. The original engine was replaced by Powertech in Rockaway NJ approximately 13k miles ago with a Porsche rebuilt short block (which includes the updated IMS bearing). The total invoice cost was $16,187.88.
Exterior modifications to this example are modest, including 19″ 997 Sport Design wheels, clear side markers and a Fabspeed air intake. The wheels are in outstanding condition with no curb rash and are wrapped with Sumitomo HTR Z3’s sized 225/35ZR19 fronts and 265/30ZR19 rears with mfr date codes of 3517 and 4817 and just over 3k miles driven on them.
In addition to some maintenance items shown on the clean CARFAX (click the link in the table to the above right to view/download the CARFAX), the selling dealer has maintenance records from 2016 until current. Further to the previously mentioned engine rebuild, other items of note include coolant reservoir and thermostat replacement, oil/air separator replacement, battery replacement (2019), and front CV boots. The car was just inspected by Powertech with the resulting following items completed:
– Install new clutch and resurface flywheel
– Install new engine mounts and drive belt
– Replace leaking spark plug tube
– Replace front and rear discs and brake pads
– Replace right front lower control arm
– Brake fluid flush
– Four wheel alignment
The selling dealer states the car to be in excellent cosmetic condition, with only minor imperfections pointed out in photos in the picture gallery.
