This DreamCar will stay with its owner for a little longer, thanks to the seller and all the bidders

DreamCarXchange is thrilled to present this 1984 Porsche 911 Carrera Coupe.  This 911 is finished in classic Guards Red over Black interior and currently reads 112,773 miles.  This is the second time the selling dealer is selling this car, as they sold it to the most current owner in 2009.  The engine was rebuilt and upgraded along with some other items addressed by Powertech in Rockaway, NJ at 99k miles in 2008 at a total cost of over $26k.  It just received an oil & filter change, new belt and brake fluid flush.  It has a completed Bid with Confidence Inspection Report, a clean Carfax, and is being sold with a clear New Jersey title.

1984 was the first year the 911 came with the 3.2 liter flat-six engine, and was paired with the 915-type 5-speed manual transmission.  In 2008 this 911 had an extensive engine rebuild and upgrade done including a big valve 3.2 conversion, JE custom piston set 11:1, Mass air flow kit, performance camshaft, dual plugs, custom chip tune, along with 1st and 2nd gear syncros and 2nd gear teeth replaced, new clutch and Wevo shifter.  The air conditioning has been deleted.  The selling dealer states the car pulls extremely strong for a 3.2 liter.

More recently a lightweight flywheel, Guard LSD, and 930 brakes were installed.

The interior is finished in stock black seats with an upgraded radio that is not functioning at this time.  Full new carpeting was installed in 2008 and a 930S replica steering wheel was added by one of the previous owners.

The most recent owner used the car for both street driving and for HPDE (High Performance Drivers Education) track days.  The selling dealer describes the car as a nice driver that has rock chips as you would expect.  There are also two chips on the driver’s side of the windshield along with a good amount of “sandblasting”, so the new owner would likely consider replacing it.  The driver’s side armrest/door pocket is missing and the passenger door speaker is missing, despite the rear seat backs not being installed, they do come with the car.  In addition the tires are from 2010 and are in need of replacement due to wear and age.

The car comes with a significant maintenance records dating back to 2008 including the already mentioned engine rebuild/upgrade costing $26,865 (the full invoice can be found in the picture gallery).  Powertech just completed a few maintenance items including an oil & filter change, brake fluid flush and replacement of the engine belt.

Along with that recent maintenance, an inspection of the vehicle was completed by Powertech with the results in the Bid with Confidence Inspection Report.  It can be found in the BwC Inspection Report tab above and the clean CARFAX can be downloaded from the Key Specifications table above.  Make sure you check out the additional pictures found in the “Pictures” tab above.  The selling dealer is charging $0.00 for documentation or other fees.  The seller is open to trade-ins on this Carrera, so if you have a car that you would like to trade in as part or all of your bid, click the “trade-in” button towards the top of the page to begin a private negotiation with the selling dealer regarding your trade-in vehicle and value.  Good luck bidding!

Hi – Car appears to be resprayed, also other than the damage to valence the rocker is dented and a number of other small body issues are visible – can you comment on when the paint work was done, and what if any bodywork was done? Are there records of this work? thank you.

Here's a great opportunity to get into a fantastic driving air-cooled 911 3.2 coupe that has been very well maintained. This is the second time around we are selling this car and we have a ton of maintenance records for it. Lots of upgrades done to the engine, LSD, lightweight flywheel and big 930 brakes makes this definitely one of if not the the best driving 3.2 liters we have come across - it pulls incredibly strong. It will need new tires, some of the interior missing items addressed and could use a new windshield.

Got something to discuss?
