DreamCarXchange is pleased present this low mileage 1991 Porsche 911 C2 Cabriolet. This 964 cab is equipped with a 5-speed manual transmission and is finished in Guards Red over Cashmere Leather interior with black piping and dash along with a Black soft-top. It was originally registered in Dacatur, IL in December 1991 and has been in the Northeast since the early 2000’s. It currently shows 55,188 miles. The selling dealer just completed an extensive service totaling over $7,000. It has a clean CARFAX and is being sold with a clean New Jersey title.
The 964 version of the Porsche 911 debuted as the Carrera 4 in 1989, and was a significant update to the iconic sports car. It included a new 3.6 liter flat-six engine, a suspension that now used coil springs and shock absorbers instead of torsion bars, power steering, ABS, etc. Exterior changes included revised front and rear bumpers and an electric rear spoiler. Interior changes included dual airbags, revised HVAC more modern shifter and a center console.
The is a well-optioned interior is finished in Cashmere leather seats with black dash/door caps/seat piping and includes some relatively rare options for a 964 such as heated driver and passenger seats, limited slip differential and Porsche crest door handles.
The 964’s 3.6 liter engine was rated with 247 hp at 6100 rpm and 228 lb-ft of torque @ 4800 rpm, with a redline of 6700 rpms. This is sent to the rear wheels via an updated version of the G50 5-speed manual transmission.
The wheels have been upgraded and have brand new Sumitomo HTR Z5 tires on them measuring 205/50/17 in front and 255/40/17 on the rears.
Powertech in Rockaway, NJ inspected the car after the selling dealer’s purchase and completed the Bid with Confidence Inspection Report. Images of the three page report can be found towards the end of the picture gallery, in the “Pictures” tab above. Please note that a few of the items noted such as the reverse lights not working and faded paint were addressed after the report was completed (via replacing reverse light switch, duct shroud and completing a paint correction). The seller states that the car is very clean overall and notes only a few blemishes as pointed out in pictures that can be found in the gallery.
The invoices, CARFAX and stamps in the maintenance book showing numerous entries, including the 30k and 45k services. In addition, Powertech just completed an extensive service that included:
- Oil & Filter change, brake fluid flush
- Replaced battery
- Installing new front and rear brake rotors
- Replaced the A/C belt, updated A/C valves, added refrigerant
- Installed updated cab top drive cables and gears
- Replaced reverse light switch
- Reconditioned two of the instrument gauges
- Installed new tires
- Completed suspension alignment
- Performed a mild paint correction
