This DreamCar will stay with its owner for a little longer, thanks to the seller and all the bidders

DreamCarXchange is thrilled to present this 1997 Porsche 911 Carrera 2S.  This wide-body 993 is finished in Glacier White with Black interior and has many “RS” inspired upgrades such as Bilstein coilovers, straight-pipe exhaust, carbon fiber airbox, Recaro seats, an Alcantara Momo steering wheel, harness bar, Rennline aluminum floormats and pedals, and “RS” inspired door panels.  Powertech in Rockaway, NJ just refinished the wheels and brake calipers, and a paint correction.  Mechanically it also received an oil & filter change, brake fluid flush, new front brake rotors and pads all around.  It comes with many stock parts such as the exhaust, seats, steering wheel and shifter.  It was originally sold by and was purchased by Tom Williams Porsche in Birmingham Alabama, with the most recent owner taking ownership in 2006.  It currently shows 72,538 miles.  It has a completed Bid with Confidence Inspection Report, a clean Carfax, the original window sticker and will be sold with a clear New Jersey title.

Below is a YouTube video that gives a short overview of the car:

This C2S has many exterior and performance modifications including carbon fiber air box, Bilstein coil overs, straight pipe exhaust, yellow headlamp film, red bake calipers, clear turn signals, turbo S front bumper with brake ducts, black stone guards, strut brace, and carbon fiber a-pillar covers.

The interior is enhanced with Recaro seats, Alcantara Momo steering wheel, aluminum shifter, Rennline aluminum pedals and floor mats, harness bar and harnesses (harnesses have expired), fire extinguisher, and “RS” door panels and pulls.  It also has an Alpine head unit with XM radio antenna mounted on the dash.

From the factory, the 3.6 liter air-cooled flat six cylinder engine in the 1997 C2S produced 282 HP @ 6300 rpm and 250 ft-lb of torque at 5250 rpm.  Mated to a 6-speed manual transmission, they were capable of 60 mph in 5.3 seconds on the way to a top speed of 171 mph.  This example has a red painted fan and carbon fiber airbox.

See the below YouTube video to hear the car idling and revving:

This 993 had various options as shown on the window sticker, including:  Torque Limited Slip with ABD, Instrument rings leather wrapped with painted face, Oval chrome exhaust pipes, Metal door sill with insignia, 18″ Technology rims and full power seat-left.

The selling dealer describes the car as a very nice driver that has rock chips, some small dings on the top of the passenger fender, faded paint on the hood, a crack in the rear reflector and tear on the seam of the passenger seat.  The tires are Michelin Sport Cup 2 in rear (295/30/18) and Sport Cup in front (225/40/18) and are nearing end of life due to treadwear and age (mfr dates of 2012 and 2013)  The wheels were just refinished in gloss black and the calipers in red along with an oil & filter change, brake fluid flush, replacement of front brake rotors and pads all around.

The maintenance book contains stamps up until 37k miles and there are also invoices from Powertech from 2013 until present.

Many of the stock parts come with the car including the exhaust, seats, steering wheel and shifter, floor carpets, amber turn signals, etc.  See all the parts in the pictures.

An inspection of the vehicle was completed by Powertech prior to listing with the results in the Bid with Confidence Inspection Report.  This can be found in the BwC Inspection Report tab above and the clean CARFAX can be downloaded from the Key Specifications table above.

Make sure you check out the additional pictures found in the “Pictures” tab above.  The selling dealer is charging $0.00 for documentation or other fees.  The seller is open to trade-ins on this 993 C2S, so if you have a car that you would like to trade in as part or all of your bid, click the “trade-in” button towards the top of the page to begin a private negotiation with the selling dealer regarding your trade-in vehicle and value.  Good luck bidding!

April 7 Updates:  Correction to the description above, the front rotors were not just replaced by Powertech, but were replaced by the most recent owner in 2019.  The pads on all four corners were replaced by Powertech as originally listed.  Also, a YouTube video of the car being driven has been added on April 7th, see below:

Wow, if you're looking for a great wide-body 993 that you're not going to be afraid to drive, this is the one! Lots of great mods that separate it from the rest. Wheels and calipers were just refinished along with a paint correction, makes this car really pop! An oil & filter change and brake fluid flush was also just done, along with replacement of the front rotors (after the inspection and BwC inspection report was written). Since it has straight pipes, it is really loud (and also causes the check engine light to be on), but lots of stock parts go with the car (see pictures for what all) including the exhaust, front seats, steering wheel and shifter, rear seat backs, floor carpets, amber turn signals, fog lights, etc. It also comes with a second Momo steering wheel and a Cup airbox. The car presents really well despite some rock chips and dings on top of the passenger fender. The Alcantara Momo steering wheel and aluminum shifter are great touches that further enhance the driving experience. Only one of 759 C2S's made for the US for the 1997 model year, and there are not that many out there in Glacier White. It has a great look and a perfect stance, don't miss out on this air-cooled widebody!

Got something to discuss?
